Campaign Rules and Regulations Summary
Emmet county residents of all ages may enter a seven week campaign with a closing date of August 3. Windieater and Republican staffers and relatives are disallowed from entry. Votes are nontransferable and withdrawals void the candidate's votes. Special vote offers count subscriptions from day one. Subscriptions may be collected anywhere, ties split prize value, and mistakes corrected by the publisher. The paper may amend rules as needed to protect candidates and the paper. Continuous adherence is required by nominees.
Twenty Percent Cash Commission Offered in Contest
The Vindicator and Republican will pay non prize winners a 20 percent cash commission on all new newspaper subscriptions submitted during the contest. Winners must remain active from start to finish and submit a weekly cash report of at least one subscription. You simply cannot lose if you are willing to try.

How Prizes Will Be Distributed
The contest awards a 116 model five passenger Over land touring car to the overall top vote getter, a $100 Victrola to the second place overall, a $350 business college scholarship to the top voter in each district, $25 merchandise orders to district runners up after the top prizes, and a $817 gold watch to the third highest in each district. In ties, prize value is equally divided among tied contestants.

Extra Vote Offers Expand Subscriptions Across Dates
Between July 4 and August 7 an extra bonus of 25000 votes is added to each club subscription. From August 8 to August 21 the offer increases 60 percent and between August 22 and August 31 it rises two percent of the first offer. Subscriptions apply to multiple offers and may be counted in later ones.
