Campaign Rules and Regulations Summary
Emmet county residents may enter a seven week campaign for prizes. No employee or close relative of the Vindicator and Republican may enter. Votes are non transferable and withdrawals cancel votes. Extra votes may be awarded for special subscriptions dating from day one. Candidates can collect subscriptions beyond their district with ties split prize value. The publisher holds rights to amend rules for fairness and requires nominees to accept the rules.

Newspaper Subscription Contest Offer
The Vindicator and Republican offers a 20 percent cash commission to all non prize winners on new newspaper subscriptions turned in during the contest. Subscriptions must remain active from the start of the contest and weekly cash reports must be submitted. You simply cannot lose if you are willing to try.

How Prizes Will Be Distributed
Contestants with the most votes campaign wide win a 1916 model five passenger Overland touring car. The second most votes win a $100 Victrola. District leaders win a $50 business college scholarship. Remaining district contenders receive a $25 merchandise order. Third highest in each district get a $17 gold watch. Ties split prize value equally.

Extra Vote Offers for Subscriptions in Campaign
The notice outlines vote bonuses for club subscriptions from July 2 to August 7 offering an extra h,00 votes. From August 9 to 21 the bonus rises 5 percent, and August 2 to 31 doubles the first offer. Subscriptions tied to first offer count toward later offers, and those to second offer count toward the third. Candidates may submit all subscriptions early to gain later bonuses.
