U S Crop 70 Be Smallest In Generation
The Bureau of Agricultural Economics forecasts the smallest crop of small grains in a generation due to drought and weather damage. It expects a domestic shortfall but a surplus for export because of carry-overs, with world prices depressed by dollar depreciation and a large global carry-over. The report notes domestic needs around 600 to 650 million bushels and a domestic carry-over near 363 million, while world carry-over could reach 715 million.
