Desert Pursuit and Duel on the Mexican Border

Adventurer Richard Gale crosses into Casita and aids Mercedes Castaneda’s escape from bandits led by Rojas. He joins Lt. George Thorne and rancher Tom Belding’s ranger group, while Gale’s bond with Nell Burton deepens. In a desert ambush, Gale saves his horse Blanco Sol, overpowers raiders, and confronts a wounded Yaqui captive, as the action foreshadows further peril and pursuit along the border.
