Better Cream Boosts Iowa Farm Income Says Hepburn
The improved quality of cream could raise Iowa farmers income by about 5 million dollars yearly from cream sales and by products if butterfat is of high grade. Dr Hepburn notes butter premiums of two to three cents a pound for superior butterfat, aiding a government drive for nutritionally rich foods. Quality cream and proper production methods are urged to meet revised federal standards to avoid seizure of unfit cream and ensure proper butter purchases.
