A Nation Saved by America Says Dodge Amid Near East Relief
Cleveland H. Dodge, NY banker and Near East Relief leader, proclaims that America saved Armenia and the Near East through philanthropy. He cites millions saved from starvation, 110,000 orphans under care, 63 hospitals, and 1,000 relief workers in danger, noting $41 million raised and $50 million in cash and supplies. He calls the effort a stupendous disinterested enterprise and a beacon of liberty and peace.
