Change in Primary Highway Bypasses Rail Crossings
Emmet and Dickinson counties weigh altering the primary road from here to Spirit Lake to avoid two railroad crossings. The proposed route would run south along the golf grounds, then west three miles, then north to reconnect near the old creamery site, avoiding crossings near McCulla cut and Superior. If approved, the present road becomes non primary and loses state aid. final decision rests with the two boards and the state highway commission.
