Babson Park News Briefs and Local Notes
Mrs. Nichols recalls old friends in Estherville from the Vindicator and Republican as she jokes about six happenings this morning. Florida homestead tax exemptions loom with talk of new state taxes and possible sales tax. Babson Park Woman's Club hosts a card party and notes on the club’s thrift and civic role. Letters undelivered in Estherville hint at local connections. Public meetings at the Casino feature national speakers aiding Weber College students. A wary view of Florida and Iowa tax laws appears, with speculation on legislative action and the need for local scrutiny.
