Cement Products Company grows with new drain tile lines
Estherville firm founded twenty years ago by L. L. Bingham and I. K. Hawk expanded under Bingham after Hawk moved to Idaho. The company added drain tile production, built concrete bridges, and operated multiple power machines and mixers. Payroll peaked near $800 to $1,000 weekly before the postwar downturn, with profit sharing among workers. The enterprise credits Superintendents Connelly and Linkett on-site leadership and notes Thompson’s Automotive Electric Station promotion of Willard batteries.
