Local Notes from Maple Hill and Surroundings
Country correspondence recounts a Sunday gathering with the Matthawa family and various neighbors including the Conghlin and Burpeson youths. Attendance at weddings, dances, and church services is noted, with visits from Sam Solmonson, Lee Wilkinson, and others. Local travel includes Mrs. Claude Cobb near Ringsted and Chas Porcharaky in Betherville, while Alfred Davis attends a sister’s wedding in Eatherville. A Sunday school organizing event appoints officers, and upcoming services are announced.
