Rural Couple United In Marriage At Nuptial Mass
Maxine Mary Truesdell and Isidore J. Neppl were united in a Nuptial Mass at St Patrick's Catholic Church in a 9 am double ring ceremony. The ivory satin bride carried a pink and white bouquet, wore lace and illusion net, and was presented by her father. Guests, attendants, and family attended a wedding dinner before the couple departed for a two week honeymoon.

The local Knights of Columbus lodge hosted state secretary Ray Conley during his annual tour at Odd Fellows hall. Plans were made to initiate a new member class in February. Also noted: various members traveled, births, and assignments involving Des Moines, Excelsior Springs, and Emmetsburg as the group coordinated community activities.

Married Sixty Years O W Hendrikson Anniversary
Mr and Mrs O W Hendrikson celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary on January 2 at their home. They moved from Wisconsin to Estherville Iowa in 1882, later retiring to St Paul nineteen years ago. Attending relatives included daughter Dora M Wilson and sons Edward W Hendrikson W A Hendrikson and Clifford Hendrikson with grandchildren and great grandchildren. A reception by the Dayton Avenue Presbyterian church group was held from 3 to 5 pm on Monday at Dayton avenue and Mackubin street.

Large Attendance at Mother-Daughter Banquet
Ninety women attended the annual Mother-Daughter banquet of the Women's club at the Methodist church on Tuesday January 10. Five long tables featured pink blue white green and yellow colors. Mrs Nettie Tedrow welcomed guests as president and Mrs Robert Knight served as toastmistress. Guest speaker Mrs Leon Blake spoke on ages and time periods. The program included group singing led by Miss Dorothy Wassum with pianist Mrs C M Gronstal, flute solos by Miss Ruth Howard and accompaniment by her mother Mrs Dan Howard. The high school girls trio sang under Miss Wassum guidance, and the evening closed with Auld Lang Syne. Committee members included Mrs F M Jones chair, others named in attendance.
