Iowa Farmers See Bigger Cash Income Despite Price Drop

Iowa farmers received 535 million dollars in cash income in 1938, up 32 million from 1937, helped by higher output and stronger demand. The Farm Outlook notes a mid-November to December index of 96.3 below 99, with annual 102 versus 134 in 1937, while national farm income fell about a billion. Projections cover hogs, cattle, lambs, dairying, eggs, and chickens amid expected demand gains and seasonal price shifts.
