Mrs Maine Hosts Benefit Party for Rosary Society

Mrs Norman Maine held a benefit party yesterday at her home to raise funds for the Rosary Society of St Patrick Catholic Church. A dessert luncheon was served at 1 30 followed by bridge with five tables. High score prize went to Mrs G M Donovan and consolation to K L Boggess.

The Daughters of the American Revolution will sponsor a high school senior girl from each state to travel to Washington in April. Iowa nominations are filed with Miss Marie Sorum, county superintendent, by February 1, 1937. The winner must show dependability, loyalty, leadership, patriotism, and community pride among other traits. credentials move to state superintendent Agnes Samuelson by February 10.
