Graduates Return to Farm Prove 99.6 Percent Success
Iowa State College reports that 99.6 percent of graduates from the two year non collegiate agricultural course return to farming within ten years. Each owns about 292 acres and $9,600 in stock and equipment, totaling $23,217,480 in Iowa farm wealth. Many are active in public affairs and farm organizations. The program began ten years ago to train boys unable to enter college and allows part time study. It also offers opportunities for war veterans to retool, including a butter maker who previously rode in a circus.
