Boys Go To Camp Dodge Banquet At Elks Home

D A R members hosted a reception and luncheon at the Elks home for local boys headed to Camp Dodge. Tom Triggs suffered a facial injury at Wholesale Grocery when a dray wagon stake struck him. he was taken home for evaluation of possible facial fractures. Sergeant John Murray and Ralph Miller were honored at a Dutch Room dinner dance, with Miller bound for Camp Dodge and Murray on furlough from San Antonio.

Silver Wedding at Grover in Pleasant Festivity

The community near Grover joined Mr and Mrs O J Wickens for a silver wedding anniversary on a Wednesday night. Enlistment Officer Bert Cade to Visit Estherville Saturday

Corporal Bert Cade of Sioux City returns to Estherville on March 2 at the post office to accept volunteers. Seven enlistments were secured recently and Cade urges all eligible Emmet county men over eighteen who are not registered to meet him and explore options in any military branch.
