The bride, a Dolliver High School graduate, will reside on the leased farm. Mrs. Eckhart visited her sister in Estherville. Local sportsmen resumed crow hunting. Stow and Womack bagged seven. School officers met with state inspector R. A. Griffin. American Legion Auxiliary observed George Washington’s birthday with a program at the high school. A flag drill and talks highlighted the event. Mrs. Eckart spoke on flag codes and the unit’s history. Mrs. Leonard Trees of Armstrong visited. Frank Peterson of Williams spent time here and aided creamery last summer. I. J. Fowler and family lease the restaurant building. they plan to move in March or when vacated. Strands to occupy former meat market building. Lois Thorson fractured a vertebra in a mishap last Saturday. Dennis Bagen and Ike Coleman of Estherville attended the county basketball tourney. Duane Anderson returns to school after measles. Walter Barnard of Forest City refereed the county meet and stayed with the Eckhart family. Civic Club set a belated Valentine party for Feb. 26 at Mrs. Womack’s home. L. P. Stillman visited Gridley last Friday.
