Emmet county farmers are urged to cut general soil depleting crops like oats barley and rye to stay within allotments for full payments. Nonparticipants can still earn 14 to 15 cents per bushel on general crops via combined conservation and price adjustments. Wheat has potential earnings of 27 to 29 cents per bushel. Officials say noncooperating farmers may benefit by joining AAA in 1939.
