Schmidt divorce dispute ends with injunction custody
Mrs. Julia M. Schmidt won custody of her two year old La Vonne C. Schmidt under a writ of injunction issued by Judge Gerald Stillman in Algona after disputes with her husband John E. Schmidt. The writ bars molestation of the child and Mrs. Schmidt also filed for divorce in Emmet county district court and sought a $500 attachment against the defendant’s property. The case followed months of domestic trouble since their June 25, 1936 marriage. The insane commission in Estherville dismissed earlier action involving the wife. The weather outlook notes likely precipitation in the north with generally fair conditions elsewhere and below normal temperatures in the north for Feb 20–25.
