The week saw very low attendance due to cold with no school Tuesday and Thursday and only seven present Wednesday. Students in early grades colored log cabins, hatchets and cherries for a border, made valentines, and opened a white valentine box next Tuesday. 100 percent spellers included Lavon Rathman, Bonnie Boyer, Alice Coultier, and Harry George, with junior high noting absentees from blizzards. A new Traveling Library set arrived while high school and community members enjoyed a bobsled party Friday night.
