Navajo Missionary Visits Kansas City with Two Navajo Bucks
Independent missionary W. S. Johnson stayed in Kansas City to handle work with Navajo Indians of northern Arizona. He brought two Navajo men named She-She-Nief and Pesh-la-Ki- Ei-Setle, who grew homesick and asked to return to their families. About 20,000 Navajo reside in the region, with many living off sheep farming and blanket making, in simple dirt-covered hovels.
