Emmet county elects Mrs A J Peng county recorder
In Emmet county Iowa a Democratic victory elected Mrs A J Peng to the county recorder post by a 218 vote margin over long time Republican Samuel Collins. The win follows a record of Collins facing repeated contest attempts, aided by a mobilized Democratic and GOP opposition. The new recorder, widow with two sons, is praised as capable and supported by the local Elk lodge.
