Marie Sorum Christmas Party Planned for Teachers
Marie Sorum, county superintendent of schools, will host her annual Christmas party for Emmet county teachers in the city hall Wednesday night. The event features carols, readings, and a radio character impersonation by N. E. Demoney. Mayme Tangen will read the story, Evelyn Bode will lead group singing with Pearl Christensen at the piano, and Supt. F. G. Stith will lead the grand march. Refreshments will follow.

A decorated Christmas tree and small favor trees highlighted the table while messages from absent friends were read. Four Mile Farm union local to hold annual meeting at Frank home
The Four Mile Farm union local convenes its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Frank for the annual gathering with officer elections and two programs. It will be an all day event with oyster stew served at noon and members asked to bring milk and bowls. A special Eastern Star meeting for North Star chapter No. 200 O E S is set for Thursday at the Masonic hall to confer degrees, with a second special session the first Wednesday in January when new officers will be installed.
