Palmer's Pool Hall Robbed in Wallingford Night
Robbers entered D. V. Palmers pool hall and confectionery through a rear window last Friday night or early Saturday. They took candy cigars tobacco and four to five dollars in pennies from the cash register. The main loss was Mrs. Palmers gold watch, a family keepsake. A $25 reward was posted for the culprits who may have arrived by car from Estherville.

American Legion to Tackle Crack Shot Challenge
The Crack Shots of the city challenge the American Legion to a hunting contest next Thursday. The Legion accepted, promising a tough battle for rabbits and urging local interest. In Estherville on December 8 1924 the Dickinson and Emmet County boards convened in joint session with E J Miller A W Bascom A Nord from Dickinson and Koy C Felkey Wm J West J L McDonald A Hildreth J J Robinson from Emmet. The board organized with E J Miller as Chairman and J J Klopp as Clerk. R A Purmay named Engineer in charge.
