Local Forgery Trial Of Gouwens And Schenck Opens
Irquois County Times Democrat reports grand jury returned fourteen indictments against Rolling Gouwens and R W Schenck on forgery charges. One indictment carries fifty six counts. Witnesses say signatures matched others but were not forged on school treasuries. Schenck, 19, appears unfazed, more spectator than defendant, as trials proceed with possible additional charges.
