County Board Proceedings 1938 Tax Milages Road Petition
The Emmet County Board of Supervisors on September 12 1938 levied county taxes totaling 10.69 mills with allocations for General County Court Expense Poor State Insane School Soldiers Relief and various bond and maintenance funds. They also authorized road construction along with a 10 transfer from Scavenger to Poor Fund and adjourned to October 4 1938. The October 4 1938 session addressed resident notice for settlements and approved quarterly reports for county officers. The board also approved a 5 levy on Drainage District 29 and appointed election judges and clerks for the November 8 1938 general election across townships and wards.
