A Saga of Builders and a New Salem Romance
A serialized tale follows the Traylors from Vergennes to the Sangamon country with Abe Lincoln in New Salem. Sampson and Harry argue for democracy as Jack Kelso and Bim Kelso charm and clash with Clary’s Grove rivals. Abe defuses a riot, earns respect, and a shy romance grows between Bim Kelso and Harry Needles amid frontier life and political musings.
