Thompson 61 Dies After Two Strokes At Estherville Home
Thomas B Thompson, aged 61, died at his brother B B Thompson's home on Thursday following two strokes. He had earlier suffered a paralysis in winter while living with Nels Hagan in Ellsworth township, recovered enough to move to Estherville, and remained largely mobile until a second stroke a week ago. Funeral services were held at the B B Thompson residence led by Rev. Cole of the M E church, with burial in Scandinavian Lutheran cemetery north of town.

John Louis Osgood died at his home in Iowa Lake township Saturday morning August 8 after a short illness. He was born August 10 1680 in Marseilles Illinois. Surrounded by family he passed peacefully. He married Ivy P. Deming April 22 1908 and had a son and daughter. He was a long time member of the First Baptist church of Marseilles and lived on a farm in Sons Lake township.

Ethel Andrews aged nearly 15, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Andrews, died of typhoid fever at her Gruver home July 29 1907. Born Swan Lake Emmet County Aug 2 1892 she sang in church and Sunday school and served as school organist. Funeral held at Gruver Presbyterian Church with Rev B S Greene and Rev A O Droz. She leaves parents and four brothers John Harry Artie Norman. The town mourns her passing as a faithful member of the community.
