An exile plots revenge and a perilous duel in Palermo

Leonardo di Marioni pursues Adrienne Cartuccio but is scorned. Lord St Maurice loves Adrienne. Margharita, Leonardo's sister, warns of vengeance. After a failed abduction by brigands, Leonardo is arrested but later cared for by Margharita. She reveals Lady St Maurice holds a key to the past as memories of love and a duel surface. The saga spans decades as fate tests loyalties.

Cattle Feeding Outlook Mixed Across States

Iowa feeders show 1% more cattle on feed as of April 1 1929 versus 1928 while the Corn Belt states estimate 1% fewer. Six month marketings reach 716000 head vs 709000 a year earlier. Prices for stocker and feeder cattle are higher with near peak levels, yet profitability has been mixed due to heavy weights and uneven market returns. Shipments into the Corn Belt are down sharply, and total slaughter in early 1929 lags 1928 despite heavier live weights. Market prospects suggest a smaller grain fed supply in late 1929 and a probable May or June upward price movement for better grades.
