Okoboji Spirit Lake to Be Connected by Special Road
An 82 to 27 vote allows Dickinson and Cerro Gordo counties to issue bonds of 60000 each to fund a 36 mile highway encircling Okoboji and Spirit Lakes and linking to Spirit Lake. The measure lets county boards decide bond action or referendum and directs lake bed sale proceeds as state aid. The plan, supported by many, awaits senate approval for construction.
