Passing of Sale Bill Shows Advertising Transition

It cites wider reach and genuine buyers as benefits of newspaper notices over roadside sale bills, and notes the automobile culture makes street postings impractical. The piece predicts sale bills will vanish as progress continues.

Advertising sales rely on wide newspaper circulation

The piece argues that a large circulation boosts sale advertising by attracting drivers from long distances. It critiques free notices as overvalued and highlights the editor’s labor and costs. It then lists church and community notices, and ends with ownership data for the Vindicator and Republican.
