The El Dorado Hills Community Services District board voiced strong support at its meeting for a ballot measure to keep the 98 acre former Executive Golf Course at Serrano as open space. Serrano LLC seeks rezoning to allow more housing, prompting the survey of 8 000 voters.
Elaine Wallin recalls childhood play as a pastor helped start St Stephen’s in El Dorado Hills. Founded in 1963 1964 the church grew from poolside and firehouse meetings to a dedicated campus with fellowship hall opened 1980. The congregation now serves several hundred members with weekly services.
El Dorado Hills Fire Chief Dave Roberts said phone traffic surged after a May debate between Auditor Controller Joe Harn and challenger Mike Owen. Owen accused Harn of favoring EDH Fire District with more tax funds, while Harn defended taxing rules set by state law. Roberts warned against shifting funds between districts. Owen urged resource sharing to aid rural districts amid forest fire risk.
