Terry Wagner joins the White Rock Village knitting group to craft caps for newborns and cancer patients. Volunteers, led by Eddie Zacapa, have donated over 300 caps and recently sent 79 adult caps to Kaiser Roseville and plan more than 140 caps for Marshall Hospital Birth Center.
Alex Diaz, Sac State senior and 2011 Oak Ridge graduate, volunteers 20 to 30 hours weekly guiding Rolling Hills and Marina Village middle school wrestlers. Parents laud his dedication and ability to connect with kids as he blends teaching and wrestling. Diaz moved to El Dorado Hills at 11 after his grandfather’s illness and recalls joining Oak Ridge wrestling in ninth grade.
