Plane flips at Cameron Park runway injuring pilots
A Van's RV-8A aircraft veered off the Cameron Park runway during touch and go practice last Thursday evening at 6 10 p m. The plane with two onboard, James Everhart and Douglass Delapp, ended up on its back in soft dirt. Both occupants walked away with very minor injuries. Ownership details list Gemtec Inc of Durango Colorado and Everhart of El Dorado Hills as potential owner or operator. Authorities note pilot in command determination is key in such cases. Everhart holds FAA certification.
