Friends and family gathered last Tuesday to honor 15 year old Dylan Ridolfi of Oak Ridge High School who died in a sledding accident on Sunday February 17. He was on Oak Ridge's undefeated freshman football team and aspired to study engineering at the University of Nevada Reno. Parents recalled his love of family and football and his unique kindness and humor.
Ten year old Hunter McGee won Mercy Folsom’s Name the Robot Contest earning a turn as Surgeon for a Day using the da Vinci Si system to move rings and a penny. Hunter received a $50 Target gift card, Oak Meadow Principal Barbara Navez $500, and Mercy has logged 126 surgeries with the system since last summer.
Ted and Beth Gaines spoke in El Dorado Hills updating Tea Party Patriots on Sacramento efforts to shield taxpayers. Beth Gaines, representing Assembly District 6 and California Senate District 1, faced hearings on the Parks Department slush fund scandal involving a $20.4 million state Parks and Recreation Fund balance.
