Red Hawk Casino opens with flair and pageantry
El Dorado County welcomes its first Indian casino as the Red Hawk Grand opens with magicians, showgirls in red feathers, and bronze statues. VIPs and thousands attend. Peter Fordham calls it overwhelmingly positive while guests enjoy six restaurants, a rewards club, and a 2000-slot, 75-table gaming floor.
