Oak Ridge Interact Club and Rotary Aid Local Families
Oak Ridge High School Interact Club and their Rotary sponsor joined forces with the El Dorado County Human Services Department and the Cameron Park Optimist Club to sponsor six local families through the Adopt a Family program. Shoppers filled Target carts on Dec 12 with jackets shoes hats socks toys books and more while each family received essentials and a handmade fleece blanket. Rotary contributed 1500 and Interact 1000 plus anonymous gifts bringing total aid to over 2500. About 20 Interact members and Rotarians wrapped and delivered gifts the next morning ensuring a holiday surprise for mothers fathers and children of all ages.
