The 2008 Trojan Toss-Up events begin this weekend with the girls bracket as Oak Ridge meets Andrew Hill at 7 p.m. Saturday and runs through Monday. The boys bracket starts next weekend with a Saturday game against McClatchy.

Oak Ridge High girls basketball swept the weekend tournament, beating El Dorado 69-22 for the title after dominant wins over Pleasant Grove 66-16 and Granite Bay 56-42. Guard Ashlyn Lussier led a stifling defense and fast-break attack as Sara James keyed the pressure. The Trojans opened 23-0 on El Dorado and forced the Cougars into turnovers throughout.
