The Dispatch announces refurbishing upgrades and a plan to print a first class county paper with fresh material and improved circulation. Notices include a boarding house opening by T F Spencer, the Lady's Friend magazine features, and several marriage announcements with local names and dates.
The court convenes next Monday with many important cases to be heard and determined, promising an unusually significant session.
A local item praises oysters at the Restaurant of Mr. Marshal and Dick, noting large season-fresh oysters on hand by the dish or can. It also advertises John J. Dr. Pation of St Foy France proposes a nasal inhalation cure using ammonia vapors from a smelling bottle. If smell is lost the bottle stays under the nose until pungency returns, then reapplied after a minute for a rapid sequence of eight applications in five minutes to clear the nostrils.
Corrected weekly timetable notes list train departures and routes for Versailles market area. Entries show east and westgoing trains with times for Mail, Accommodation, and Night Express services, including a 8.18 P. M. departure and 10.13 A. M. for returning eastbound trains.

Public sale offered on Friday March 9 1866 at 10 A M in Delaware Township Ripley County Indiana. Describes 50 acres part of the NW quarter section 28 township 9 north range 11 east with specific boundary lines. Sold to highest bidder not less than two thirds value, cash. Commissioner J H Cravens. Also contains miscellaneous 1866 classified notices and advertisements.
An old classified style ad offers 25 cent notices and mail services, with bulk bundles at $1 and $5 promising many notices and gifts. Eight dollars allegedly yields 250 notices and a silver watch by return mail. Addresses and agent recruitment follow with garbled, uncertain details.
Market notice describes ranges of land for sale in Missouri and Kansas with payment terms of one third cash and balance in one and two years. Prices range from 4 to 800 dollars per acre for prairie land in Marshall, Anderson, and Fayette counties. Also listed are houses and lots in Versailles Indiana. Dated December 26, 1505.
