Northwest Conference convenes in Quanah next Wednesday
Wilbarger county will send a large contingent to the Northwest Texas Methodist conference convening next Wednesday. Bishop James B. Rickey of Waco will preside. Ministers from eight districts attend, with presiding elders including Lane Abi Jene district Storey Am arillo district and others. Bishop Dickey, a Georgia native, led Emory College from 1902 to 1915.

Four Recovering From Effects Of Operations
John Coffee of Fargo, a twelve year old boy, is recovering from an operation for acute appendicitis at a local hospital yesterday. Cleo Richardson, recently operated for appendicitis, is recovering rapidly. He is brother to Alter Richardson, wounded by a bullet in a serenading crowd near Fargo about two months ago. Bernard Richards, another member of the serenading crowd, is said to be improving daily. Mr Thornbrough of Electra, an oil field worker, has returned home after an operation performed some time ago.

Local citizen makes record with two year plum tree
R A Coffee of West Paradise Street planted a plum tree two years ago. Proper care yielded a thriving tree that won first prize at the Wilbarger County Fair and second at the Wichita Falls fair for its produce. He canned 28 quarts from the tree this year.
