Homely Magician Stages Street Concert in Vernon
A plain folk fiddler, described as a homely magician, played on Vernon streets as night fell. Dressed simply, he drew a crowd of cotton workers and locals with tunes like Sally Goodin and Little Britches, conjuring memories of boyhood in a sparsely populated Arkansas hills setting. The performance ended as a warm crowd faded into the night before continuing on, with ads for photographs at Clifton Artcraft Studio.
