Twenty statewide business groups and most chambers of commerce name delegates for the Texas Commercial Conference in Dallas October 15. The three day session coincides with the Texas Chamber of Commerce annual convention and will feature leading U S speakers on commercial industrial and agricultural topics. The local church elected a resolution urging Bishop McMurray to send Rev. Hayne as pastor. Official board drafted the measure and Presiding Elder W. P. Garvin will present it to the bishop at Amarillo next week as the Annual Conference convenes.
The executive committee of the local Red Cross met to organize this year’s Roll Call in November. Mrs N R Heath was appointed assistant to Mrs A Stovall chair of the Nursing Committee. The committee voted to seek representatives from the ministerial and medical associations for the executive panel. A follow up meeting will be held within a week to advance plans.
