Hard Fight on for Convention in West Texas

Whaley on the duties of commercial organizations to uplift cities and mobilize support across business, professional, and civic groups. It notes widespread local backing but strong regional opposition, with outcomes tied to Brownwood in 1924. The article also recounts local weather, frost, and community notices including visits, school openings, and baptist church services canceled due to weather.
