Demonstration to Pick Fine Cattle at Vernon Exhibition
Arrangements with Vernon area cattle owners allow use of their stock for a stock judging exhibition on June 12 led by J. D. Cook of College Station, a former national champion livestock judge. H. A. Klifgier will supply Duroc Jersey hogs, J. R. Messick will present Holstein and Jersey cattle, and A. M. Bourland's farm will host Poland China hogs for judging. County Agent N. R. Tisdal seeks good fat beef cattle as additional specimens. The plan envisions a farm tour to collect a variety of cattle for training boys in stock judging for the National Fat Stock show in Atlanta this fall, with a Lyndon prize trip for the final winners.
