Covetousness Exposed as Sin in First Methodist Sermon
Rev. Bareus denounces covetousness as the blackest sin alongside fornication and theft in a sermon at the First Methodist Church. He cites biblical warnings from Paul and Romans, arguing wealth measured by giving, not keeping, reveals true character. He says covetousness harms faith and invites divine judgment, noting examples of rich and faithful servants and a fool who stores treasure on earth.
