Vernon housing rush election notice in 1920
The city faces a housing need and invites bids for a ready to build option. A vote will be held on the third day of July 1920 at Wells Chapel Schoolhouse in School District No 34 to decide a property tax increase of 20 cents to 90 cents per $100 valuation to fund the State School fund. Only qualified property taxpayers in the district may vote. The notice follows a June 6 1920 order by the County Judge. Sheriff W A Ish Wilbarger County Texas signs dated June 15 1920.
