J D Key and L F Key plan a new oil venture in West Vernon to drill the Hart farm site about two miles from the city. The 3 500 foot well aims to find oil or gas. 170 acres were purchased for the venture with 70 acres from H C Miller and 100 from S A Castlebury at 15 000 and 100 per acre respectively. The West Vernon Oil Company is expected to form with stock offering Thursday or Friday.

County Agent N. R. Tisdal received a telegram from the Farm Lawn Bank authorizing him to grant permission to replant land devastated by Friday hail. Drilling Site Planned on Vernon Oil Lands Near Vernon
The Vernon Oil Development Company reports a drilling site on the northeast corner of the southwest quarter of the hi. Lowe section, three and a half miles southwest of Vernon. A slush pit is dug, the cellar done, derrick erection began, and drilling may start next week on 3,000 acres leased south and southwest of Vernon. The stock, initially 75,000, was heavily oversubscribed.
