Wilbarger-Haley Oil drills through lime to 985 feet

The Wilbarger-Haley Oil company reports a depth of 985 feet under a rotary rig on block 14 section 5 A and TC Survey. They passed 200 feet of hard lime reef. Water now supplied by a new one mile line. Projected depth to 1800 feet with pay land expected. deeper if no oil found. Ownership includes King, Dutch Shell interests, and King-Kent Oil in Wichita Falls. Vernon reports include J. G. Witherspoon and local business news.

Evans Family Returns From Hereford Trip

Mr and Mrs R T Evans and Mrs R Collins mother of Mrs Evans left yesterday for Hereford. Mrs Evans had been staying with Harry Mason recuperating from an injury suffered in Wichita Falls when a church partition fell on her. Mrs Evans is sister of Mrs Harry Mason.
