House balks at homestead amendment amid key senate actions
Austin reports the House refused to print the favorable minority report on a joint resolution to amend the homestead provision, effectively killing the Federal Land Bank measure allowing loans on homesteads for improvements and seed. The session also examined a Sul Ross bill, state tax system review, potential sale of the old capitol site, and governor appointments to state boards.
