The School Board decided to grant a two week holiday period. Schools will close this afternoon and remain closed until January 7, the first Monday in January. Initially planned for one week, the board approved the longer break after deliberation, drawing cheers from students.
Willis Smith of Fargo Injured in Vernon Wagon House Accident
Willis Smith of Fargo visited Vernon yesterday for the first time since injuries from a wagon accident. He could walk the streets but continues to suffer from the effects of the incident in which a team he drove to wagons hauling a small house shied and the house fell on him.

Three Youths Sentenced to State Training School
Carl Jones Willie Reynolds and Joe Ferguson were adjudged delinquents and sentenced yesterday to the state training school at Gatesville until age 21. District Attorney John Storey presented the cases. Reynolds and Jones, both 16, Ferguson 15, faced robbery charges and auto theft. Ferguson had prior probation on a automobile theft case after a forged check incident.
