Two Young Women Hurt Sunday In Collision
Miss Lacey Bomar daughter of city marshal Jim Bomar was badly hurt Sunday afternoon around 6 30 when her car hit another driven by Barney Riley on Wilbarger Street. She suffered three broken ribs and a sprained wrist while Miss Edna Puckett a passenger in Bomars car sustained injuries to her body. The other driver Mr Tiley was uninjured.

Thalia Youth Dies After Weeklong Illness
James William Reeves age 15 of Thalia died early today after a weeklong illness. Funeral services will be held at Thalia Cemetery this afternoon at 4 o clock conducted by the local Baptist minister. He is survived by his parents Mr and Mrs S Reeves and six brothers and sisters.

Young Man Dies After Long Typhoid Siege
A young man son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Baalers died at their Vernon county home southeast of Vornas after a long typhoid fever. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 PM from the home by Rev. LA Dilek ley of Vernon Methodist church. Interment was in Fast View cemetery. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. pallbearers were from the local canes. The family moved here from Mansfield, Warrant County. He had been living with the Milnes family for two years. Survivors include his parents six sisters and one brother. All were present at the funeral.

Fire at Blanton gin early Monday damaged twelve bales of cotton. The blaze started around 3 o'clock while bales rested on the platform awaiting hauling. Nine bales were severely damaged. three were moved by firefighters and lightly damaged. No one was present at the gin when the fire began.

Arrest Follows Auto Collision Near East View Cemetery
L W Youngblood of Davidson, Oita, suffered scalp wounds and a severe cheek cut while Miss Rube Thomas and her brother from Holliday were severely bruised in a two car crash on the pavement near East View cemetery Sunday afternoon. J Thomas and family were returning to Holliday from Vernon when their Ford sedan collided with an open model Ford driven toward Vernon by Chayford Pinus of Daysteen. Youngblood was on the front seat and ejected through the windshield. White and Thorne were only slightly shaken. Witnesses said the Thomas car was on the eastbound side. the other on the westbound side. Motorcycle Officer Oran Brewer arrested Timme for reckless driving and drunken driving. He remained jailed Sunday night on 8500 bond. driving while intoxicated is a felony under Texas law.
